In the wake of the recent update about the global pandemic Coronavirus from Abia State, residents of the city has received the news with mixed feelings…

In a press release, NCDC has stated that the figures of affected people in the state has tallied to 83 cases, Abia state registered its highest single-day spike of COVID-19 cases for the first time since the outbreak yesterday with 67 new infections.

Upcoming rapper and afro-hip hop artiste/cinematographer Clever New Payper made a hilarious statement on his Facebook timeline to vent his view on the absurdity of the situation.
Apparently, residents of the state rumoured their inability to identify a single person who’s been infected by the dreaded virus, therefore there is a widespread belief that the reports from the NCDC about the cases of Coronavirus in Abia State is a fiction. Mr. Clever in his post of Facebook has sarcastically described the situation as ridiculous. Accessing the reports with the tally from other states, he compared the NCDC report table as a soccer league table, humorously indicating that the hike in the Abia State cases of the virus which moved the states up the table meant that Abia State is out of the relegation zone.

The jocular remarks made by residents of Abia State is as a result of the deductive reasoning that the authorities of the state falsely report non existent cases of the virus in a bid to obtain funds from the FG to launder.

While Lagos remained the worst-hit as its COVID-19 tally rose to 5767 with 38 new cases, while the fatality count mounted to 67, while 944 recovered so far.

Other states on the NCDC update includes Ogun -19, Gombe – 16, Edo – 14, Imo – 9, Kwara – 8, Katsina – 8, Nasarawa – 8, Borno – 8, Kaduna – 6, Bauchi – 5, Ekiti – 4, Niger – 2, Ondo – 2, Plateau – 2, Kano – 2, Sokoto – 2.

The agency also noted that the country has lose 354 people to the virus, including 12 new death registered on Sunday while 3826 patient has recovered so far.
