Arsenal crowned FA cup Champions
Arsenal Fc lifted the FA cup trophy on Saturday night after beating fierce rivals Chelsea Fc, thanks to a brace by Aubemayang.
Chelsea opened the scoreboard six minutes into the game with a goal from Pulisic but their joy was shortlived 22 minutes later by an early equalizer from Aubemayang via the spotkick. Aubemayang’s mazy run in the 18 yard box was intercepted by a stiff tackle but the referee awarded a penalty to Arsenal, converted into a goal by Aubemayang.
Unfortunately for Chelsea, their team was met with injuries which saw most of their valuable players off the field. Aubemayang snatched the lead in the second half after a humiliating dribble on Zouama and a lob over Chelsea’s goalkeeper Caballero to put Arsenal ahead of Chelsea on the scoreboard. But in spite of being down to 10 men after kovacic was red carded, Chelsea dominated most of the second half but sadly failed to get past Arsenal’s defence to grab an equalizer.
Arsenal winning means Spurs will start their Europa League in the second qualifying round, with a behind closed doors one-legged tie on September 17, with the Gunners going into the group stage.
